About Us

We're D.J., Jenn, and Joe, the small, passionate team behind Area de Fumar Cigars. We launched our company in 2024 out of Toms River, New Jersey, turning a lifelong love of cigars into something we could share with the world (or at least with our friends at the Jersey Shore?!).

We’ve been smoking cigars for more than 20 years and D.J. is a Certified Retail Tobacconist. (Fun fact: one of his first dates with Jenn was at a cigar event — that's how serious this passion runs!) What we've learned over the years is that cigars are a great equalizer. They bring people together regardless of background, income, or experience level.

That's why we built Area de Fumar…to go where the people are. You'll find us throughout New Jersey at street fairs, wine festivals, motorcycle events, charity fundraisers, and golf outings. We also bring the experience to private gatherings — corporate retreats, weddings, birthday parties, and anywhere else our clients want to add something memorable.
